Agreement between Madan Bhandari Foundation & Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Center (SDNTC) to initiate kidney Transplantation services in Hetauda
Transplantation and Dialysis services are being expanded under the leadership of Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Center,Bhaktapur in Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences, Hetauda.
SDNTC and Madan Bhandari Institute Of Health Sciences have reached an agreement on Wednesday dated, 30th Nov.2022 to start kidney transplantation and dialysis services in Hetauda.
The Executive Director Of SDNTC ,Dr.Pukar C. Shrestha ,Madan Bhandari Health Sciences Academy ,Hetauda Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Bishworaj Joshi and Medical Director of Hetauda Hospital ,Dr.Ramchandra Sapkota had mutually signed on the agreement.
According to the agreement,the centre will expand dialysis services in various hospitals of Bagmati Province and provide necessary training for the employees.
Similarly, the center will make brain death organ donation and transplantation more effective in coming days.The Transplant center is doing the necessary homework to conduct the educational program in Mch Urology, DM in nephrology and Graduation/Post Graduation degree in Nursing for the health workers of Madan Bhandari Health Sciences Academy, Hetauda.
Executive Director Of SDNTC, Dr.Pukar Chandra Shrestha at the event informed that in accordance with the center's plan to expand the transplant services in all the seven provinces of the country, the transplantation services has been conducted at Pokhara Institute Of Health Sciences with the technical support of the transplant center.He said that this month the transplant will be done in Surkhet Provincial Hospital and gradually in Dhangadi.
In the program, Chief Minister ,Mr.Rajendra Pandey said that the state government has given special importance to the education and health sectors.He said that kidney transplant work will be carried out with special priority.
Officials of Madan Bhandari Institute Of health Sciences, Head Of Hetauda Hospital,Nepal Industry and Commerce Federation's party attended the event.
