FREE HEALTH CAMP AND AWARENESS @ ILLAM

HOTC (Human Organ Transplant Centre) has organized health and awareness campaigns in various parts of our nation. Similarly,on May 17th, 2014 (3rd Jestha, 2071), Human Organ Transplant Center organized a free health camp in Illam. About 661 patients benefited from this camp. The patients were provided with free counselling, health checkups and urine dipsetick tests. The number of patients diagnosed with renal disease was very high in Illam. Among 661 patients, 132 patients were diagnosed with renal disease. Diabetes was diagnosed as the major reason behind such a large number of patients with renal failure. 42 patients also signed the consent for kidney donation in this district itself. The camp concluded successfully and HOTC members were glad to have helped the patients in Ilam.
