HEART DISEASE TREATMENT AT HOTC

Human Organ Transplant Center (HOTC), Bhaktapur has started treatment for heart diseases from October 18, 2016. The availability of heart disease treatment at HOTC has brought huge expectation to relief the patients of Bhaktapur and other districts around. Now, the center has sufficient human resource including cardiologists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons. A strong expertise team having practice from UK consist of Dr. Sampurna Man Tuladhar, Dr. Mohan Dev Bhandari, Dr. Kartikesh Thakur, Dr. Prem raj Baidhya and Dr. Sandeep Bhandari.

Executive director and transplant surgeon at HOTC, Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha told that heart surgery facility will also be available from mid of November at the center. Besides, HOTC is fully prepared to operate catheterization lab (cath lab) and other cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. Heart transplant in Nepal still have a long way to go because there are many things associated with the whole process-but this doesn’t mean that we wait until then.
